Tainted Coca-Cola? I am SO sure!

Snopes tells me the warning-from-mysterious-middle-eastern-guy rumor is back, only now it’s about Coca-Cola.

Yeh. Right. You bet. I imagine the flagship Coca-Cola bottling plant has better security than the Atlanta airport. And quality control at all the bottling plants has got to already be as tight as it gets. It didn’t take something like 9/11 to get Coke to think about contamination. I’m not sure, but I think that in 116 years, no one’s ever been able to tamper with Coke, and not even an accidentally tainted batch has been shipped. (I think, anyway.)

Not on this side of the pond, but accidentally tainted batch was shipped in Europe.

No, but deliberately tainted batches have been. The bottles also had a rather curious warning label that said “New Coke.”
