I have not been involved with any direct contact with you on the boards but I have noticed a disturbing part of your personality that needs serious adjustment. I was reading through some of the ATMB posts and your attitude made me want to seek your posts out further.

First of all, this is a community of people that include all intelligence levels. Fighting Ignorance Since 1973 (It’s taking longer than we thought) is the premise behind this board. This is not a board for MENSAns. If you feel you are being spoken down to I think you need to open your eyes a little and realize if you ask a question, people will answer in the best way they know how. If you don’t understand their answer ask them to clarify it.

No one here, except those that personally know each other, can read your level of understanding. That is something you need to understand. People generally don’t talk down to others unless a person has proven themselves to be a self-righteous weiner.

First of all jally, as someone mentioned, it is a public board. If you bring issues to the board it is open to all 8000+ members to respond to.

In addition, manny answered your questions very well and in detail. You also continued with posting threads in the wrong topic and, to top that off, you duplicated a thread you started in GQ then proceeded to MPSIMS bringing it up again.

Here’s the deal. I am not bringing this up in the Pit because I want to flame you but you are coming across as a big baby. I would rather find a forum that didn’t include some of the words and phrases that come up in here but MPSIMS is not appropriate for this particular thread.

As for making rash assumptions, I think you are the one that is making those rash assumptions you speak of. By starting that thread you have, in essense, made you look like the only child in school that gets picked on.

As a few others have stated, if you can’t take the heat you need to stay out of the kitchen. If you feel that every post you create is being scrutinized by some geniuses that IQs are 150 or above you are wrong. We are a group of people with many different backgrounds, interests and intelligence levels.

To answer the question you asked in GQ "Are most SDMBers my enemies? Should I never post again?"

Here’s what I have to say to you.

If you continually play a victim, you may be better off finding a message board that caters to this need. Calling a group of people sodomites is clearly enough for the group at large to want you to leave.

So, if you want to stay and be a part of the people here, then stay but stop with your whining and leave manhattan alone. Creating problems with a moderator will only hurt rather than help your cause.

Oh, and here’s a complimentary box of Ex Lax to get over that twisted colon thing, I can’t imagine that is very comfortable.

Jally, I considered really letting you have it. I had visions of a flame so spectacular, nobody could even read it without asbestos underwear, UV protected sunglasses, and SPF 200 Sunblock. But as it were, I decided, you are not worth it.
So instead I will give you some friendly advice.
The admins are here to make EVERYBODY’S SDMB experience a good one. They work their asses off to keep this board up and running, and they do not deserve your shit.
The mods work just as hard as the admins to make this an enjoyable, educational place. I have nothing but respect for all of the mods, especially Manny, for putting up with posters like you, running a tight ship over at GQ, AND living a real life away from the computer. The remarks you directed towards the admins and the mods were uncalled for, and harassing. Your whole behavior and attitude has been extremely condensending, annoying, and irrational.
The reason the mods and the admins work so hard for this board is because they love it. And the posters on this board are what make it all worthwhile. The vast majority of these people are incredibly bright, intelligent, witty, and charming. Yet you went out of your way to insult and mock them, and overall, acted like a jerk.
I would suggest you apologize, but I for one would not accept it. You came into the SDMB, and muddied the floors with your ignorance. When we tried to wash the floors, you tracked in some bullshit.
Finally, calling me a bitch was not totally out of line. I can be one at times. However, I was not being one in the aforementioned thread. If you want to see what I can do, please, post some more ascinine, childish whines, and I will see what I can do. You also did another very foolish thing. You got Anthracite involved. I’d hate to be you if you step out of line again.

Oh, calm the fuck down. Jally did not say anything out of line, IMHO. People here can be unusually cruel and hateful, as evidenced by this thread.

Perhaps it’s just me, but it seems incredibly ridiculous, techchick, for you to have not liked one of Jally’s threads, researched all of them, then taken the time to make this post.

Who made you the police? Or have you been nominated to the position of admin without my knowing?

Next time you feel the need to point out a newbie’s mistakes like this, don’t bother. I don’t care, approximately 7995 other posters don’t care, and you simply come across as silly and pointless.

There is no reason to assume that just because Jally said something you do not like, then he is a troll. Please.

Where did I once call jally a troll? Hmmm? Please find that exact quote because I don’t recall saying, NOR did I imply it.

In FACT I didn’t want to bring this to The Pit but there is no other forum that was appropriate for this.

I pointed it out because jally continued to make mistakes, even after being warned.

jally has been all over the board whining about how terrible people treat him/her – I pointed out the reasoning why people may be giving this person a hard time or the perception of.

Who made you the police? No one did. I had an opinion and I made it clear, I was also using this thread to point out some obvious things that jally doesn’t understand.

Look Nacho, if someone runs around the board creating problems and calls the entire group a bunch of sodomists then I sure as hell am going to make an issue out of it. His/her attitude over in ATMB was horrible and decided to look at the threads referenced over there, etc.

jally could be a good poster if he/she would lighten up and get the panties out of his/her butt – which is why I didn’t want to post this in The Pit.

Nacho, sometimes you can be an idiot.
He insulted the entire board, not once, not twice, but three times, with rather harsh language that was only appropriate for the Pit, and he did this in ATMB.
He received not one, but two warnings. The next one, he’s out of here.
Not only did he insult the entire board, he also called individuals names (Such as myself and Bear), I probably would have let it slide EXCEPT he did this, again, in ATMB.
Now, he KNOWS better than to do that. He’s been here for awhile.
And as if that wasn’t enough, he would not leave Manny alone. Now, I like Manny, a lot. He is a good moderator and an excellent poster. And I know he can take care of himself. However, I WILL back him up, and so will many, many, many others.
Jally created enemies. Some of us are going to be more vocal than others. I just wanted to let him know there are at least two posters on this board who are not amused by his stupidity, and maybe in the future, he had better watch himself.

Respectfully, I think you might want to re-read all of the posts that Jally was making, and put them in their proper context. IMO, techchick was completely correct in what she said, and she was right to start a thread about it. While at first Jally seemed to be a very confused newbie, something I have great sympathy for, it becomes apparent as time passes that there is something more at work.

He can defend himself here if desired, of course.

Doug Bowe nailed it first time off. Maybe the fit just isn’t right for Jally. It’s frustrating to see a bright person picking fights that aren’t needed, but hey, there are plenty of bright people around.

True fact, if anyone can’t accept the quite generous protocols of this place, then they can leave. No one takes attendance. But equally true fact: carping and gritching over the way the place is run is both rude and boring. If Jally can’t accept the groundrules, then he/she can’t.

Fighting and bitch-slapping among posters over this just adds to the insanity though.

Anyway, I first noticed him explode in an ATMB thread trying to find out from Manny why the SDMB didn’t offer private E-mail for its members. Jally got pissed off when someone other than Manny responded to the thread, then got pissed off again when someone told him that he should have just sent an E-mail, etc. I myself would have pointed out as such to him, but Pepper and others had that department well-covered.

In short, he made a couple mistakes. No big deal, of course, and I find it completely appropriate for Techy to say “Hey, Jally, calm down!”
