I’m a little confused. If this isn’t a debate, and if opinions aren’t welcome, should this thread maybe be in MPSIMS?
If it stays here in a subforum of Great Debates, doesn’t that invite debate?

No, not quite.
The OP asked for what people are doing in terms of ‘ground gaming’ the election. That’s different from a debate but it certainly belongs in the Elections forum.
Not everything in this forum needs necessarily to be a debate. On the ground experiences certainly count.
Having been a canvasser and phone bank manager in past elections I’d like to hear about other folk’s experiences doing the same. Turning it into another argument just drives it away from people sharing experiences.
Okay, I can see that. There’s a problem when someone shares a highly objectionable experience about how they’re ground-gaming; I think the correct place to discuss that is in the thread where they share it, especially in this forum. But if that’s the rule, that’s the rule.
But if this is just about sharing experiences then maybe it does belong in MPSIMS.
I’m confused, too. The Elections forum is separate from the Great Debates forum and is not a subforum of GD, right? On my list of forums, I see:

Great Debates and Elections are at the same level. Does everyone else see the same thing?
