Bill Ballance, one of the great talk radio hosts of the 60s and 70s, passed away this afternoon at the age of 85. The creator of “The Feminine Forum,” a forerunner to sexual innuendo talk, Bill was voted one of the Top 10 Los Angeles Radio People of all-time.
Oh, and for those of you who don’t recognize the name, he was the one who photographed Dr Laura Schlessinger in the nude. They were lovers in the mid 70s when he took the pictures and he released them on the Internet in 1998.
I had the good fortune to meet Bill last year at a Talk Radio forum I attended in Burbank, CA. A very nice, gracious gentleman. Rest in peace, Bill.
