I haven’t seen this thread until I searched…twice! I’m up for this, I was actually going to suggest it in my other thread but this seems a lot more organized than mine was. Are there any tentative plans yet?

I doubt you’d be willing to schedule it as far from now as October, cause I’m going to be in the area for training for work during the…second? week of October. But by all means, go out and have fun earlier, I’ll jsut make all of you take me out to the same places a month and a half later when I’m there. 
Just curious, Bouv, what are the airfares like from just north of nowhere to Florida. And if we have the Dopefest before you get here I’m sure we can still do something in your honor. Like let you buy us all dinner. But at the pace this thing is moving it may well be October by the time it gets off the ground.
We could always have a halloween party. Is there anything going on this summer that we could meet up at? I think the Taste of Pinellas is over, do they do something similar in Tampa? I don’t remember about a lot of things because it’s been a while since I’ve lived here. If anybody thinks of something good, I’m all for it.

We Tampa Dopers are the most apathetic bunch I’ve ever seen. Come on people, don’t you want to get some of the sharpest and/or greatest minds in the Tri-city area together for a little bit of fun? Let’s get excited about this!
I’ve met Shibby for dinner (tonight will be twice, with Amp) so we will know eachother at least, plus Shibby thinks I’m cute. 
I am thinking October-ish, so school will be workable and work is settled. Pick a day Amp.

If someone can find me some round-trip Plane Tickets from Korea to Tampa for around 600 dollars, then I am down for a late October Dopefest in Tampa!!

OK, if I have to pick a date out of the air I suppose we could shoot for the second weekend of October. That would be the weekend of the 8th and the 9th. That sound good to everyone?

Second week of October? Hmmmm… Put me down as a 60% chance of being there. If someone has some flyer miles they’re never going to use, that chance would go up
I was just down there last month working on the house. If you dopefest it in October, I just might be able to make the trip! That’d be mucho fun!
