Simple question:
How does it work?
First, secure a power source, such as wall AC or some batteries. Then, put a tape in the little door thingy. Now, push the button marked “PLAY”.
Easy.
Find something else to do with your time.
A better question is: who invented it?
Brittainy, I am going to assume this is a serious question and you are probably young and want a basic explanation of the principle. I am sure you can find this if you search the internet but here’s a basic explanation:
The tape is coated with magnetic material that during recording is magnetized more or less as it is pulled by the head depending on the amplitude of the sound. Then, during playback the tape goes by the head again which detects how much it is magnetized and reproduces the original sound.
