So sad to see the beard go! They had the best attitude of anyone on the race. But switching tasks is risky, and they lost that risk. Since the beards can’t win, I’ll put my money on the doctors for winning, as they have the advantages of getting along well, being smart, knowing tactics, and having the express pass.
In general, maybe, but they had a terrible attitude both times doing the statue task. A noticeably worse attitude than everyone else who did that task.

How he did it without getting his beard all messy is beyond me.
I’m surprised no one’s upset at the immediate bunching point at the start of this episode, completely nullifying the entire previous episode and the first half of the leg. Ugh.
It was a little annoying, but the location kind of dictated it. Norway has miles and miles and miles of miles and miles and miles and they were way up north. I do wonder if they had a production problem that required a TBC instead of a regular leg Pit Stop?
They tend to do that when there’s a huge distance to cover and it’s just easier to bunch everyone for any number of reasons. It didn’t bother me. When Phil said “You’re still racing”, I knew that’s what it was going to be.
Sometimes there is a production issue. Totally understandable – it must difficult trying to keep everything in sequence as it’s actually happening.
No it didn’t. Why couldn’t it have just been a normal leg, with them flying elsewhere?
It’s not like there aren’t ways around this issue, even if they were somehow forced into the leg extension. Why not just have the usual time delays take effect after arriving at their next destination?
It’s just super silly when an entire leg is rendered completely meaningless.
Okay, so whoever I root for gets eliminated.
I therefore announce that I am now rooting for Tim and Marie.
At the start of the episode someone said that they had been racing for 30 hours. Then they went to the boat at around 4 AM only to be told that the boat didn’t leave until 8 PM. So what did they do during all that time? They must have slept that day, but where? We weren’t shown. We also weren’t shown how they traveled overland to Gdansk once they left the boat.
They didn’t travel overland to Gdansk. The ferry took them to Trondheim, where they got a flight to Poland.
Yeah, very strange setup. A “To Be Continued” followed by a day-long delay before the ferry, followed by a bunch-up on a plane trip.
I feel bad because I liked Brandon and Adam, but they lost fairly… they made a bad decision to switch tasks, and didn’t do very well at the dancing one anyways. But bad timing, having that come right after they all got bunched up. And Pinky and No-Brain (love that name) back in the lead…
Finally managed to watch the episode. I’m really bummed that the Chico guys were elimiated.
