I wasn’t sure where exactly to put this thread, but I think it falls under artistic… hence it’s placing…
Well anyway… I want a tattoo- no, I’m not going to just stroll into some place run by this guy who calls himself “The Butcher” ( believe me, he exists…) and pick a tat off a pic on the wall! I want a tattoo that means something uniquely to me and that I will enjoy looking at for the rest of my freakish life…
So here it goes…
I have already decided my tat to have to do with music since it is a major part of my life. I am a musician and I was thinking to get a few music notes on a staff or something… but I want it to be artistic- something very unique and clever…
I know here (Winnipeg) theres a tattoo place that won’t give you a tattoo off a wall, because it’s unoriginal. But they will redesign it about 10 times and you can pick the one you like the most.
Maybe you could search around some more and see if there’s a place that will do that.
Unless it’s a symbol that can’t be change, try and design your own version of it.
I think there’s nothing worse then seeing someone with the exact same tattoo as you.
umm… I was going for maybe a bit more …subtle… I dunno if I want a freakishly big pic of that dude on my back…
I want something that doesn’t really hint toward a band or musician specifically… - something pretty general and some-what small… if ya know what I mean…
I like the idea of taking a bar from your favourite piece and applying it to your body. You can have your artist get really creative with the notes, and I would absolutly not have them put on a drawn-in staff. Noone is going to need the notes to play you
Drip the notes (in order, and rough placement to eachother) over the edge of your hip, starting high and you have a semi-private tattoo, but one that will be slightly visible over the top of low cut pants. Each of the notes can be embellished differently or along a theme. Wow, I like that idea actually, I think I might use it myself
I knew someone who plays cello. She had two f-holes tattooed on her lower back. Easy to cover up when necessary but looks great in certain outfits when she’s playing her cello.
