Tear enducing songs

Y’know, those songs that get you choked up. For my two suggestions I recommend that you watch the videos because I think they add to them, and also to watch it late at night in the dark when you’re tired and more emotionally vulnerable to get the immersive effect. I guess this would apply to any emotional song.

Beyonce - I was here (live UN performance)
The video definitely adds to the song, and sort of makes you think that there is hope for humanity yet.

Kim JinHo - Family Portrait (live)
Though you may be familiar with the Beyonce song, you’ve probably haven’t heard this one, and my desire to share this song was actually the main reason for making this thread. For some background, it was written for the singer/songwriter’s deceased father.

Eric Clapton’s Tears In Heaven, especially once you know the background.

Yes.

Ruby 81’ by Aesop Rock gets me all worked up, even after hearing it 100 times. More like spoken word than “song” but the way he tells this short story puts me on the edge of seat and gets me anxious every time. I won’t spoil the story for you. Just listen to the words.

Abraham, Martin and John - Dion. Yes, I’m old…

For his friend Antonio Carlos Jobim
