I subscribe to about a dozen podcasts, including The Weekly Show with Jon Stewart. This one, and only this one, stalls out and freezes a couple minutes in. I’m accessing it on a MacBook Air (2020, Sequoia 15.6.1) with the Apple Podcast app, which otherwise works fine. How should I troubleshoot this?
If the browser is relying on a corrupted version of the podcast to that point already downloaded - Chrome Incognito does not use the existing browser cache, from what I find. Try running the podcast incognito. This should download a fresh copy. Of course, without saved data you may have to login also.
Safari has a “private” browsing mode which should do the same thing.
If that works, try clearing browser cache.
I used to have issues with the native Apple podcast app. I don’t remember what the specific issues were, whether they were technical difficulties like you’re having, H_H, or I just didn’t like the clumsy interface, so years ago I downloaded another podcast app on my iPhone called PodCruncher. A cleaner interface, and I’ve never had any technical issues with it.
