TechSmith Camtasia vs. Adobe Captivate

Anyone have significant experience with both who could chime in on plusses/minuses, preferences of one over the other?

I have occasional need to create informal, narrated screen-capture instructional videos in my job. I have used Camtasia at a stumbling, basic level, figuring it out as I went. I am a current basic user of PhotoShop and have some experience using other Adobe products such as Illustrator, Acrobat, PageMaker (back in the day, obvs.). I work for an educational institution and we get a significant discount – for us, Captivate is cheaper than Camtasia. Captivate seems to be the Hot New Toy, as well.

It’s time for me to either get Camtasia for my current computer, or perhaps get Captivate instead. Any opinions welcome.

Get Captivate. It will play well with all the other Adobe products. We’ve used Camtasia here (we are also an educational institution) and are in the process of moving over to Adobe products instead (the powers that be here are interested in Presenter). Price is a significant factor, but having something that integrates well with Photoshop and Acrobat is a plus as well.
