Is it more notable that Cruz is phone-banking for Trump, or that he didn’t exhort the person he called to vote for Trump, or even mention his name?
He is, I’m sure, phone-banking his conscience.
Now that Pence has kicked off his own 2020 campaign, it’s going to be very interesting to see him and Cruz compete for voters convinced that Trump lost because he wasn’t theocratic enough.
He supported the nominee of the Republican Party, just like he said he would. Got it on tape, anybody brings it up. Bet he slammed down two Dr. Peppers after that!
So, Mr. Cruz, where’s your God now?
I don’t disagree, but I wonder how much bigger is the evangelical demographic than the alt-right demographic?
Trump will lose in 2016 because the alt-rightists repel an ever-growing cadre of folks both left and right
I think come 2020 there’ll be a lot more people openly repelled by evangelicals than are willing to say that loud and proud right now. Courting them will be another [playing to the fringe] tactic that makes a lot of enthusiastic noise but yields few net votes.
