I think a lot of vets would say “Fucking Obama!” In my opinion vets lean far right and would forgive anything a Republican would say.
Gotta be The Onion. Too stupid even for Ted Cruz. Besides, he’s got handlers, guys at the ready to staple his lips shut if he even tried to say anything so stupid.
Satire. Story first published in The National Report.
Ah! Sorry y’all, it wasn’t from the Onion, but it was from another “satirical” site, The National Report, which apparently fooled The USA Today and other sites. It did sound too extreme for Cruz, I should have double checked.

While there is a kernel of truth in your observation, I think it rather unfair or simply ill-informed. Order and hierarchy are essential to military discipline, couldn’t be any other way. When one is firmly taught to respect order and hierarchy, one can hardly be criticized for over-emphasizing its importance. That’s just human.
No prob, Bob. As a recovering Texan, I remember how difficult it can be to calibrate the batshit quotient.
I’m not seeing how leaning far right is respecting order and hierarchy. It’s my simple observation that veterans, particularly Vietnam veterans, are disproportionately right wing Republicans and would instinctively pin any ridiculous statement by say Cruz on Obama.
Of course, if this had happened to a Democrat, the world would be deafened from the cries of outrage.
Mark Halperin is an idiot, no matter who he’s interviewing.
Whereas Ted Cruz looks like the creepy guy you DON’T want at your kid’s birthday party.
Ted Cruz mocks Joe Biden as he prepares to bury his son.
Although he later apologized, Cruz pretty much shit his own bed here.
Are you sure you’re not confusing him with Ted Nugent?
Nugent wouldn’t have apologized, he’d have blamed Obama for Beau Biden’s death.
So, apparently Ted may not be a US citizen. Per the article, both of his parents may have been Canadian citizens at the time of his birth.
And since he renounced his Canadian citizenship a little bit back, does that make him stateless?
Cruz didn’t make a mockery of Beau Biden’s death as much as Biden and his fans have, by spreading the weepy legend that Beau wanted his Dad to run for President.
If Joe Biden wants to run for President, let him. But he was a major jerk to wrap his own ambitions in his son’s death.
Wow, birtherism for Ted Cruz? It is irrelevant what additional citizenships his parents had at the time of his birth. If one parent was an American (and one was), then he, too, is an American citizen. The burden of proof rests on the idea that any American parent renounced their citizenship, presumably in the act of acquiring a second citizenship. I’d like to see a cite that (a) that his mother ever took on Canadian citizenship, and (b) that in doing so, she renounced her US citizenship. Unlike the US, Canada’s oath of citizenship does not require you to state that you relinquish other citizenships.
What is the evidence that Joe Biden spread this “weepy legend” (or if he did, that it’s not true)?
Agreed. I detest the man and would love an excuse to be rid of him, but I decline to stoop to the levels of the birther nuts. If there is actual evidence supporting this claim–as opposed to demanding that he prove it untrue–someone can present it. Until then, I’ll assume it’s more of the same crap. Indeed, the simple fact that no one has done so yet inclines me to think it’s bullshit. You think someone wouldn’t have dug it up, with as many people as he’s pissed off?
Well, Orly Taitz still maintains Sen. Cruz is ineligible, along with Sen. Rubio and Gov. Jindal, so at least she is consistent.
