As to the OP, certainly his family and friends will miss him.
I have a hard time feeling bad for another reason - I can think of a lot worse ways to finish your life than to live 90 years and then go out in a plane crash while you still have all your faculties and aren’t a drooling vegetable in an old-folks home somewhere.
Who were the other people who died in the crash? Ex-NASA administrator Sean O’Keefe was apparently on the plane, but survived. He and Stevens are the only two I’ve heard mentioned by name.
O’Keefe’s (teenaged?) son was also on board, and survived.
