Tell me about those electrode stomach excercise thingies,

The things you often see advertised, with electrodes attached to the abdomen, that stimulate muscles to tense and relaxe.

Do they burn calories via the muscles ‘working’?

Does it feel like you can just let it do it’s thing and you can get on with something else? Or rather does it feel almost as if you’re doing the work?
I’m not looking to get one , I’m just curious. I know spot-reduction is a myth so I wouldn’t look to a device like this to give me a six pack. However I AM curious about the possibility of something that can burn my calories for me while I sit at an office desk.

They’re bogus.

The only thing they make lighter is your wallet.

They can deliver a serious shock, enough to injure you.

Piece o’ crap.

Iylad had some, but he used them for pain relief on his back.

There are stomach exercises you can do at your desk…basically, just tightening your muscles as you work.
