Already happened in New York, remember? She was so hated there that voters turned up to send that very message.
No.
Cite?
Thank you. But the thing is, to me they weren’t ‘wild accusations,’ just things I recalled hearing from time.
And what’s the point of ‘fighting ignorance’ if the so-called ignorantee (
) is supposed to do his own fighting?
I hope you can see where I’m coming from here.
Yes I do, and I know how frustrating it can be to almost remember something but you don’t know quite enough to look it up anywhere. Did you try Google?
I ended up doing it myself. Here is a tidy page of where Clinton stands on just about every issue, with links to quotes. I didn’t see the items you claim, but I didn’t look very hard.
Oh, yeah! New York! The only state in the union where she could get elected…and which, of course, is precisely why she ran there. Doesn’t mean diddly in terms of national politics. But like Dio said, she may win. Natually, I’m hoping my scenario prevails, but we’ll see.
Tell ya what, Starving, why don’t you click the link in tdn’s post #25, go down the list of positions point-by-point, and then tell us exactly which ones you find objectionable and why? (Hint: Calling a given position “socialistic” is insufficient, in and of itself, to warrant discounting its wisdom or benefits out of hand.)
Rush Limbaugh, I’m sure.
But that page shows her to be a left-liberal authoritarian barely within the “moderate” threshold.
I do, and I hope John Mace will forgive my lapse in manners.
Thank you for calling SA an idiot, John Mace.

Let me be the first – no, too late – let me be the third to ask you for a cite for this assertion. Sounds like bullshit to me.
What the fuck?
Pretty much. I remember a bumper sticker: “Clinton for Change!” Which each “C” in form of a red hammer-and-sickle. The Hillary-bashing is mostly on the same level.
Well, it may be where Hillary says she stands now…maybe…but it doesn’t mean she didn’t stand elsewhere yesterday and it doesn’t mean that’s where she’ll stand tomorrow either. That’s precisely the problem with someone of her stripe: when political expediency rules the day, as it does with both her and her husband, you never know how they’re going to come down on any given issue. The only way to know is to watch what they do when they actually have power…or think they do, as in the case of her health care plan.
And the reason you don’t see information there about the health plan I refer to is because in happened fifteen or sixteen years ago and was such a huge catastrophe for both her and her husband that scant information is available today. Much of it was swept under the rug long before the internet came to the fore.
And yes, I knew I’d be asked for cites and I couldn’t find anything pro or con through either Google or Ask.com. That’s why I thought I’d get information one way or the other here. Still, it caused enough of a brouhaha back in the day that I can’t help but believe it’s so…especially considering the lack of aggressive refutation that would surely be going on by now had the assertion been baseless.
Actually, I imagine it was Hillary who was the inspiration for the hammer-and-sickle in the first place. IIRC, Bill ran afoul of public opinion in this regard only after his wife’s beliefs (and the power he seemed willing to bestow upon her) became public knowledge. I don’t think Bill Clinton himself has ever been regarded as being that much of a commie.
Okay, really now, isn’t there a rule against joke threads in the Pit?
Or are you really that fucking stupid?
The quotes are historical. Some go back as far as 1983.
Did you even look at the site?
That makes no sense at all. It made such a big brouhaha that it must be true, even though there’s nothing on the internet about it, and no one is refuting it even though you seem to be the only person on the planet that knows about it?
You’re not building a terribly airtight case.
With all of the talk of various forums, he just got confused and thought we were in GQ, where statements of fact are expected, so he gave one.
Oh, and let this be the fifth (sixth? seventh?) call for a cite on your claim about her wanting to make it a federal crime, subject to prison terms, for paying for a doctor’s care.
But you ARE an idiot.
I remember hearing a quote that SA was an idiot with a needle dick, but I can’t seem to find it with Google. It was back in September when the Internets weren’t as big as they are now.
