This thread is great!
I’ve raised a lot of animals in my day. These are some of my dearest ones…from the past and present:
Muffin, my oldest pet, a Tabby with a earthy-deserty tone.
Roxy, A black toy poodle. Very humble and loyal.
Candy, A big, chow-mixed mutt. A chronically happy, playful dog. Orange fur, big, and with a pink tongue spotted purple. She thinks I’m one of her pups.
El Gato Loco, The energetic runt of the feline litter he was born from. After I saved him from the jaws of a stray dog, only to have the vet discover that he was unhurt, my friend and I have taken to calling him ‘Rubber Cat’.
Bitch, a black, lop-eared rabbit. She hated everyone. She couldn’t be touched. She would only bite, scratch, growl, and claw. And there have been numerous injuries reinforcing that fact. But I took care of her from the day she came into my life until the day she died. In that way, she taught me many lessons of responsibility, and humility.
Rufus and Dark Nation, an orange, fluffy hamster, and his black counterpart. It was hard taking care of small animals, since all my other ones have been larger.
Goliath Leopard Gecko. He’s tame, likes being petted, eats crickets and baby mices, and can lick his own eyeball. What more could a guy ask for?
(Pink) Floyd, Axel (Rose), and Ozzy (Osbourne), Cat, Pig, and Cat, respectively. Floyd’s got extremely long hair, and is neurotic. Ozzy is spastic, playful, and hates being alone. Axel used to be a lot happier, but has been in and out of depression ever since his favorite cat, Dusty, was killed by a car. (It was so sweet to see them cuddling with each other!)
I could list more. But I don’t want to ramble on for -too- long.
I’ve also taken care of rats, snakes, turtles, and birds.
