Many of you will remember this thread about a nurse’s aid who hit a homeless man with her car and left him in her garage stuck in the windshield of her car until he died.
One of the “friends” who helped her dispose of the body faced court in September and was sentenced to 9 years in prison.
According to this article, the second accomplice has also pleaded guilty.
Damn good thing to, but 9 years is not enough for the suffering she caused.

Not to mention the mess it would have left on the garage floor, and you know what a son-of-a they are to clean.

Okay, the accomplice got nine years.
What about the killer herself?
Both of the men who helped her dispose of the body pleaded guilty. I can’t find any reports indicating she’s gone to trial yet.

According to the story, the woman charged with the murder was only indicted in April - which might explain why she hasn’t yet gone to trial.
I have been reading about this story since it first came out. I just read the earlier thread with the questions like “why was she giggling about it to friends” and “how could anyone be so inhumane”. Well, there is one part of the story that has been left out by most all news agencies. Lets put it this way; if the races of the perpetrators and the victim were reversed, we would be hearing about the hate crime of the century.
I’m afraid that for many people, killing a white person is not considered much of a crime at all, and certainly not one that would warrant ratting on one of your own about. That is why she was talking about it. Sounds like she told someone with a bit of humanity though.
I recall another case a couple of years ago in Memphis where an elderly white woman was carjacked by several young black men, beaten, stuffed in her trunk and then paraded around town where they showed her off as a trophy to family and friends, telling them eventually they were gonna kill the white bitch. Well, they took her to a park and left her for dead (don’t remember if she was stabbed, raped, shot, or what but I remember she had suffered a lot already up to that point). Somehow she lived, and the perps were caught with her car. Not one of those many people who saw her bound and bleeding in her own trunk bothered to report the crime. Not one.
While it might be true that this story would be told differently if it was, say, a white person leaving a black person to die, but that’s the media and society.
You’re making this out to be a race case (as in, black people don’t care about white people dying" and I think that’s quite a stretch. We’re talking about one awful person and her two awful accomplices. Three people do not represent an entire race. Nor do the people from Memphis.
What you’re saying bothers me personally, but I’ll keep my objections to the fact that it isn’t part of this story.
I think the fact that she went out periodically and APOLOGIZED to the poor sucker says SOMETHING for her humanity.
On the other hand, the fact that she let the guy bleed to death over two frickin’ days says something about her as well.
And I don’t think color has a whole lot to do with that.
