Temporary move, Stratford CT

I’m likely going to need to move to the Stratford CT area for a few months. I’m only somewhat familiar with the area and am trying to figure out housing arrangements and the best way to find them. A hotel for the duration is probably more then I’m willing to pay.

I will be working regular business hours and want a commute under 20 minutes. The place I’ll be working is just off of 95. The area must be ‘safe’ or at a minimum I’d need off street parking.

What towns would fall into those parameters? What sites would be good for connecting with people that may be renting rooms or want to split an apartment for a short duration?

I don’t know about sites but I’ve stayed in Stratford several times. It’s a nice enough town in it’s own right. I used to try and find places to stay that were near the Merritt parkway but there are nicer (IMO) hotels near Sikorsky that we prefer to stay in now. Off the top of my head I think there’s a town near there called Milford or Milton. I can’t remember but we liked that area as well.
