I wish they wouldn’t script the intros to the myths so much. Just have everybody bullshit about the myth for a while, and edit the conversation down to a minute and half. These guys aren’t actors or spokesmodels, and the scripted banter is painful.

Kari’s an artist and sculptor. It seems like Jessi may be more of a mechanic, based on her installation of the nitrous system in that car. Different skill sets.

Besides Adam (his English film director accent and his “Pirates of the Caribbean” accent), Grant seems to be most prone to doing that, as evidenced by his Keanu Reeves impressions during the “Speed” bus-jumping myth.

It’s true that Jessi is no Kari Byron. By the same token though, Kari is no Jessi Combs.
I’m not just spouting a tautology here. Rather, I think that the two ladies make different contributions and that they’re attractive in their own unique ways. Personally, I’d be more inclined to give Jessi a look in real life.
Tori yes, but are you sure about Kari? I seem to recall reading that she just been hired for the show and they had her being the butt model for the toilet seat myth her first day on the job as sort of a hazing for the new kid.
Jessi has some skills but she’s trying waaaaaaaaaaay to hard. But I also believe that might be coming from the directors because Tory (as of late) is trying waaaay to hard!
I’ll be happy to Jessi go and Kari’s return. She seems more genuine in front of the camera.
Also, Kari was an hired employee for Jamie’s M5I company and they used her butt on her first day for that myth. She wasn’t hired talent for MB, she just became it over time.
Oh and Kari over Jessi any day of the week!

Also, did I see a flash of Christine (the Myth-tern) when they were prepping the petri dishes for the samples the students collected?

Recently the Discovery Channel was running some early episodes of Mythbusters. One of the very first episodes featured the story of Larry Walters attaching weather balloons to his lawn chair for an impromptu flight over Los Angeles. Karri was in the background in the shop, and was one of several people helping out while they did the flight. She was just one of several assistants and wasn’t featured as a stand out in any way. I think the butt episode is the first time she was able to speak on camera, but I think she has been on screen since the start.
Jessi is cute. And hot.
Tim’s still going strong.
When I met Jamie at Randi’s Amazing Meeting a few years ago, he said that Scotty left the show because she wasn’t comfortable with the attention she had been getting after appearing on TV. He said he was sorry to see her go, because she was one of the best welders he had ever met, male or female.
Amen. Waiting for Kari.

I liked her a lot, but mostly because I really dislike the Kari worship. Kari does a fine job, but she’s nothing special.
Sacrilege! Kari is a geek goddess whose feet you are not worthy to lick.
