Ten rules of business and life
Business
49% of a business is worth whatever 51% says it’s worth.
When referring to your business, do not use ‘grow’ as a transitive verb.
Your business motto had better be ‘Get the Money’.
Earn the money first, then buy the Mercedes.
Never refer to yourself as the ‘owner’.
Life
Never name your house, or trust anyone who does.
When cruising on your motorcycle, and passing under a bridge, always gun the engine.
Don’t ‘verb’.
When Lynyrd Skynyrd’s ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ comes on the radio, always do as Ronnie commands—‘Turn it up’.
Have a beer.
Big SUV, have you met fatherjohn yet? I’m sure you two will have lots to talk about;)
D&R
But I like to verb words…
(Calvin, I believe?)
Yeah, verbing weirds language. I do it every chance I get.
But I agree with Life #4 and #5 .

For those of you about to graduate from college, please pay special attention to Business #4 .
Biz #2 pisses me off every time I hear it.
Life #2 is even better in tunnels, but a bridge’ll do in a pinch.
Life #'s 4 & 5 may as well be Commandments.
::UncleBill gets inspired to play Skynyrd on the 'puter CD drive. Already has the beer::
Welcome to you, Big SUV , I like your philosophy.
Welcome, Big SUV
Regarding #5 , splendid, don’t mind if I do.
very well put, Big SUV.
[mafia-elder voice]
I like you, kid. you’ll bring only good to this establishment.
[/mafia-elder voice]
keep up the good work.
Big SUV, I think I like you. Welcome and all that jazz.
And I still need a motorcycle…and my mom won’t even get one for me when I graduate.
Big SUV, those rules should become laws.
I think a relative of mine should observe Business #3-5 - they are rules to live by in business.
Regarding Life #2 , which in my mind should be #1 , I would say riding a Harley should be mandatory.
Life #4 is a definite must. Life #5 , I can’t comment on (not old enough).
He [Big SUV] is referring to Ronnie Van Zant, the vocalist for Lynyrd Skynyrd.
