Ten Years Sober Today

My life would feel pretty sucky if I hadn’t been to a meeting in 4 years!

Meetings help me keep a healthy perspective, among other things.

Glad you’re going back to one!

Congrats. Sorry some things suck.

Two months and five days here. Other than that, ditto.

Congratulations fifty-six.

10 days would be wonderful. 10 years is spectacular. Many congratulations. I hope the meeting went well.

That’s awesome! Congrats to you!

fifty-six, that is really strong. You are an inspiration.

To other old friends here, all that’s asked is one day at a time. You all matter to me.

Congrats, fifty-six! And consider the fact that the things in your life that suck today? Are pretty high-class problems compared to back when you were still drinking.

Mama Tiger, sober a few 24 hours myself

Happy birthday, fifty-six!

You’ve made it this far, another twenty-four hours to go.

Congratulations on your SoberDay, 56, and I hope the other problems get solved soon!

Many congratuations, 56, I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been for you to do this but I admire your achievements tremendously.

Congratulations fifty-six!

Hard times come and go. It is how you choose to face those times that define the man you have become. From what you have said, in your other thread and here, you can stand proud.

ODAAT indeed.

I’ll tell you what. Your location says Alaska, but are you near a Starbucks? Are you near any kind of chain restaurant?
If you’ll post your address, and answer my questions above, I’m going to mail you ‘a cup of coffee’.

Ten years is AWESOME. One more day, that’s all.

Oh, and one more thing. I’ll bet I’m not the only one who will send you that cup of coffee. Am I…? Am I…?

If we get an address, and you give me a brief on how to do so, I’m up for mailing a cup of coffee.

56, you’re doing a great thing, not only for yourself, but for people who know you. ODAAT, buddy.

Congratulations, fifty-six! Fighting the inner fight is the most difficult thing to do.

That’s why I was asking about some chain restaurants in the area. I figured it would have to come in the form of a gift card for three or four bucks. (which is about what a Starbucks cup of coffee costs these days, isn’t it?)

If we get a note about 56 going to the meeting, and if he/she doesn’t feel weird about it, I’ll send a slightly nicer gift card from Starbucks. There may be enough for a muffin!

Congratulations! I’ll toast–hot chocolate with whipped cream and shavings (try it out today, if you make it to a Starbucks)–in your honour.
