Today is my 5 year sobriety date.
5 years clean and sober today.
I’ve posted in the past on my birthdays about everything that went on (well, not everything but a lot). Today I am just going to enjoy it.
5 years sober. When I was drinking I could never imagine this.

I have no personal experience with alcoholism, but I have friends who went through it and came out sober on the other side (long before I met them). They’re some of my best friends and I’m grateful to have them.
