Yes, they can run for the seats again. Justin Pearson has just been voted out. 2 out of 3. Ms Johnson held her seat with just one vote.
This just makes me sick.
…if the Democrats were wise they would recognize that people like Justin Jones and Justin Pearson are the future of the party and the only one real hope for democracy, and instead of “publicly chastising those members”, would stand behind them in solidarity.
So far I’m only hearing solidarity. This is unreal. I do home this backfires mightily.

I disagree. I don’t think they should chastise them at all. The Democrats need to stop doing the Republicans job for them. Either praise them for taking a stand, or say nothing. The Democrats are their own worst enemy by taking the high-road and hoping they can return politics to normal. Normal ain’t coming back. The fight now is for the soul of the country.
A TN state senator just said on MSNBC that local authorities can reappoint them, and Nashville and Memphis, which they represent, will hold a session on Monday.

Tennessee is red enough to do it, so I don’t think this is going to hurt the Republicans there at all
They can be appointed by the county commissions, but then have to go through a special election.

Same here. Jones was my representative and I liked the job he was doing. I hope we can get him voted back in. Because we need to show the stupid majority that we want the reps that we elected.

I am so proud of those in my state that were there to chant. I know a couple teachers that were down there today. I know several of the kids that were there Monday. And that makes me feel even better about our future - these kids are stepping up the way to make the world the one they want to live in.
In which they will run again and win.
This is not going to go well. Every year more and more kids who had to deal with gun violence start to vote.

Democrats need to convince more voters in Tennessee to care about their local elections. And if they already maxing out turnout, then well Tennessee is getting what they wanted.
They know that, which is why they are taking over the schools to give students an alternate history and alternate reality.
I was thinking just that when Mr jones and Mr Pearson were speaking. Their command of history, and how this legislature want to hide that history.
