Whoa, is this supposed to be serious? You actually don’t see the line between stealing and killing? I thought that was a totally believable aspect to John’s character. Kids tend to have a less well-developed ethical system around property. Stealing? A few hundred bucks? From people who probably won’t even miss it? (Or so the teenage rationalizations go).
But killing? Even for a supposedly good cause? Even young children know that that’s just wrong, period.
Stealing and killing are both wrong. I just thought John was a bad kid for being a thief.
And for talking back at his foster parents.
Edit: It’s interesting that in T2, the new T-1000 didn’t know enough about human physiology to detect when he was being lied to: T-1000 asks Johns friend if he had seen this kid (showing him a picture of Conner), and the kid answers no.
He’s just had the shit kicked out of him by the T1000; he’s missing parts and losing an eye. Perfect time to say it.
