Terminator One person born within the last 100 years? Who

If you could Terminate someone because you are Skynet, and you could care less about Sara Connor, or John Connor, who do you send the Governator back in time to wipe out? You get only one before the Terminator decides to get into politics.

I vote Barbara Bush, wife of Poppy and mother of W. That way W is never born and Poppy is perhaps more interested in banking. Babs never makes friends with John Hinckley’s parents. Definitely Babs.

That’s kind of scary. I wouldn’t terminate my political opponents. Except maybe Ralph Nader.

As bad as the Bush family is ( and why not go back to Prescott ? ), there are certainly worse people in history. Hitler, Mao and Stalin come to mind.

I think I’d go with Hitler. I think he was more key to the rise of Nazism and it’s deeds than either Stalin or Mao were to Communism’s evils. And Karl Marx is too far back.

None of whom were born after 1909.

Except none of them were born within the last 100 years.

And since the OP states that I could care less about them, it would have to be Sarah Connor or John Connor.

Kevin Bacon, as an infant.

Just to see what happens to the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game.

I’d go with Osama bin Laden. With him out of the picture, Bush would have been less incentive to fuck everything up.

Of course it’d be theoretically interesting to off my own father. But would I be around to find out?

Drat; I was thinking “alive” not “born”. Ronald Reagan then.

Blast it why does everyone I keep picking be born too long ago??? Curse you Disney for being born in 1901!! Oh wait, here’s one. Sam Walton.

What makes you think nobody would take his place and do the same thing?

Send the Terminator to 1950 or so and have it kill Mao ZeDong.

Things might have turned out better for China in the 1950’s, 60’s, and 70’s.

Either Lee Harvey Oswald or Timothy McVeigh. While killing an organized political killer probably won’t change things, Oswald and McVeigh were lone nut jobs and killing them would change history.

Probably McVeigh. 168 lives saved would be worth it.

Abe Vigoda…

From a utilitarian perspective Pol Pot would make a good choice. Equally Saddam Hussain is, if you consider the millions of casualties and crimes against humanities he was a factor in, and no doubt the future geopolitical consequences for the region following the 2003 invasion. As Captain Carrot points out though, it’s speculative as to whether these events would have been entirely avoided with death of a single person.

Good thing you limited it to 100 years. I’m tired of tracking down all the idiots who try to kill Hitler. They just don’t understand what a mess it makes of the timeline.

Ok, if you want a guy who is personally and unequivocally responsible for great evil, I give you…

Pat Boone – personally responsible for more lame cover music than any other dreadful singer in history.

According to this forum it is against the bylaws to go back in time and kill Hitler.

I think what makes bin Laden unique among villains is the vast amount of money he’s had at his disposal to carry out his jihad. It’s certainly possible that someone else would have created al Qaeda, but without all that cash, it might have amounted to little more than a minor irritant.
