Terra Mysterium presents our first music video!

I’ve mentioned my work with Terra Mysterium before. After many months of planning and work, we have released our first single, and the accompanying music video: In the Observarium.

Music has always been a part of our original performance productions; this marks our first expansion into film media.

We’re really excited, and have so far gotten quite a positive response. Hope you enjoy, feel free to share!

Cool stuff. I heard a lot of distortion on peaks, though. It was apparent even with the volume lowered. Maybe your levels were mangled by Youtube?

I don’t hear that at all. Check your speakers?

Delightful.

Thank you. We had SO much fun filming in that house. (Yes, someone really lives there.)

I like it, but I did have one suggestion that I think would have been cooler: if blowing out the candle at the end went to instant black.

Normally I’m not a fan of such precise diction, but it works to give the work a creepy vibe.

For shits and grins, I downloaded the video from Youtube for the sole purpose of checking the levels to see if my ears were deceiving me. Nope, there is lots of clipping. I uploaded a screenshot of an Audacity session with “show clipping” enabled. When clipping is detected it is shown as a red line.
