"Terriers" Question (spoilers likely -- hoped for)

Her betrayal came from her inability to hold her liquor (she has claimed repeatedly she blacked out). Her reaction to the betrayal is about punishing herself, both due to cheating and due to inadequacy issues.

Who doesn’t on that show. Cheating != love.

I don’t remember any repeated claims of blacking out, but when she confessed to Hank he said something like, “you were drunk, you didn’t know what you were doing” and she said something like, “I was drunk, but I knew exactly what I was doing.” The cheating was deliberate. Her betrayal came from issues, but rather than deal with those issues she chose to hurt Britt.

I don’t recall that she ever blamed it on a blackout. Maybe the actual sexual act was not in her memory because of alcohol, but she basically said that she did it intentionally, she went home with the professor fully aware of what she was going to do when she got there.

I just caught up with this series online. Great stuff. I hope they get more seasons.

Yep. That was real life stuff. And good acting/writing, with Britt at first being sympathetic to Katie and then nonchalant, maybe even a bit smug that Katie was hurting. And Katie crying – over the dog but mostly over Britt. I teared up too, and again at the end, with Mark and Hank.

Real life stuff with Katie’s cheating too. She told Britt he wasn’t ready for marriage, and she wasn’t ready for someone who wasn’t ready, so it was kind of unconscious sabotage. She loved him too much to turn down his proposal, so she gave him a reason to dump her.

But where to go from here? There has to be consequences for Britt beating up on Gavin. Or maybe Hank has enough money left to buy him off.

The parallels were very cool, the wrong guy stuff and the breakups.

The previews implied that Zeitlin is going to offer Britt a get-out-of-jail-free card for a … favor, if you know what I mean.

Ahhh. I watch via Amazon, and don’t get previews.

Oh dear. Zeitlin has influence with the cops?

Holy crap!!

Anything in the previews to give a hint about what goes down next week?

There’s a scene where Hank has Zeitlin at gunpoint. Zeitlin scoffs at the thought that Hank would pull the trigger, and Hank scoffs at his scoffing. My apologies at being unable to remember anything a little less obvious, but I think my brain was too caught up in the general awesomeness of the episode to commit much to memory.

This might be more interesting. While I was poking around on IMDB to learn a little more about the actress playing Britt’s hot lawyer fling, I noticed that she was credited in the finale. Makes me wonder what she’s going to do; I didn’t think of her as anything more than a one-shot character. It would be pretty cool – and this, obviously, would require a second season – if she forgave Britt for his subterfuge and they spent a few episodes as an item.

I don’t understand why there is any question about renewing this show. It’s too good to cancel. (Community is another show that’s on the edge but is far too good to be cancelled.)

That’s all I remember. The rest was mostly a bunch of really short vague clips.

I think she was probably part of a setup orchestrated by Zeitlin.

Since she wasn’t the mole and Zeitlin seemed to figure out who the mole was so soon after Britt revealed the drop point, Zeitlin probably knew she wasn’t the mole when he sent Britt to check her out. He was just setting Britt up.

This makes sense. What’s puzzling is that Ashley (the hot lawyer) knew there was a snitch in Zeitlin’s office. After Britt’s comment about dropping stuff at the embarcadaro (sp?), she yells “You think I’m the snitch?”

My god, poor Hank when Gretchen finds out why Jason was at the liquor store.

Why doesn’t anybody set me up for hot sex? Not once have I been lured into a trap where hot sex was involved.

I’ve sent maybe 4 emails this entire year… this one was my fifth.

I forget - why was he there?

He and Laura (the reporter) were at the liquor store to meet with the mole from Zeitlin’s office.

Things happened pretty quickly. I think another show might have used two episodes to cover what happened in this one. At the least, there would have been a scene showing Laura and Jason discussing whether they should go to the liquor store, or if it would be best to let Hank and Britt handle it.

There’s speculation on Sepinwall’s blog about whether Zeitlin has been intercepting Laura’s communication with the mole, and whether Burke planted a bug on Britt when he gave him that patdown. How else would he know about the meeting?

That was a fantastic season finale. Let’s hope it was not a series finale.

I’ll be buying the DVDs regardless.

And if it was a series finale, they did a great job wrapping everything up while still leaving a few strings for the next season, just in case.

And I might have missed it, did they ever show was the picture was? Or are they leaving that a secret.

No. But it was heavily implied to be the rich guy engaging in pedophilia.
