Aww, the fuzzy little kitty matches someone’s toenails.
They haven’t turned on image links.
Actually, the problem is that they’ve turned off HTML, as Nunavut Boy used the HTML anchor tag instead of the vB image tag. Even if HTML was turned on it would have appeared as a link, not an image.
ETA: And if you intended it to be a link use [ url=“address”][ /url] (minus the spaces) for the vB version. They have, as Squink said, turned off the vB image tag as well as HTML.
Or HTML.
It is very, very unlikely that we will ever allow images again. Way back when, we allowed images, and we had some people greatly abuse the privilege. We had gazillion pixel images. We had copyrighted images. We had people posting their desktops. We had goatsex. Oh BOY did we ever have goatsex.
And yes, we also had problems with people abusing HTML on the SDMB.
Right now, we allow vB code and smilies. We recently turned on the editing feature for members as well. We try to allow as many goodies as we can, without slowing down the board too much and without allowing too much risk of abuse.
In the meantime, if you want to show everyone your kitty, I’m afraid you’ll have to put the pic online somewhere and give us a link.

women. cats. feet. life is good.
assuming that is a woman. nttawwt if not of course.
also, kittykittykittysqueeeee.
Minor nitpick: The HTML version in the OP wouldn’t be a link, because there are no quotes around the URL. And in vB, quotes aren’t necessary around a URL in a link. (I think they may be allowed, though?)
THANK YOU!
Actually I just tested it. Firefox at least still recognizes the address without the quote marks around it.
You mean, you had pictures of goats having sex?
Man, that must have been boring as hell. Antelope sex on the Discovery Channel would be more exciting, and it would be moving pictures, not static.
Believe me, if you don’t already know, you don’t want to know. I have so far managed to avoid looking at goatse or tubgirl; my curiosity always falls to “people say this is really gross and bad, so I prolly shouldn’t look at it.”
On another board I frequent, someone posted a pic that was basically a chart of every awful picture and their variants ever posted on the Net. 3 Tubgirls, 4 goatses, and a whole bunch of other gawdawful stuff. 3X9, if I remember correctly. Done as expertly as like it was for a business presentation.
The human trait of dedication and workmanship is a curious thing, to say the least.
Awesome shot. Seriously makes me want to be a cat benefactor again. If only the selfish bastards didn’t live so long.
Oh c’mon, like you never killed a kitten before.
