Test poll

Actually no. Shows what you know. :stuck_out_tongue:

:smiley:

Candidate 1 [Goofus] believes in gut reads and passive guessing. Occasionally he/she stumbles upon a right answer just by luck. But no one believes in Candidate 1โ€™s ability too understand the overall Cohesive themes of life. Slim and silly. This is the candidate of 30%.

Candidate 2 [Gallant] has shown real insight into understanding correct answers and why they are correct. He/she knows what to look for and where to find it. Gallant pays attention. I expect 100% test scores from this Candidate 2 because "Can 2 can-do!. "

I voted for Kodos.

^ I donโ€™t blame you.

I voted only because itโ€™s not a public poll.

Does the elephant have two trunks?

Looks like candidate 2 may be in trouble. :frowning:

And I am trying and failing to come up with a number 14 for the test without resorting to the obscure. If someone solves the puzzle maybe that person can think of another possibility.

  1. A: Because โ€œrobโ€ requires adding two letters to turn it into a bird, whereas loon, teal, and finch require removing/replacing only one letter.
  1. A, because all of the other answers can be spelled using letters from CATTLE BRIDGE.

Pretty neat wordplay. However that answer is not correct

Candidate One is against both cattle and bridges! Vote Candidate two!

  1. A: can be typed on a standard keyboard with only the left hand.
  2. B: can be typed on a standard keyboard with only the left hand.
  3. D: can be typed on a standard keyboard with only the left hand.
  4. B: can be typed on a standard keyboard with only the left hand.
  5. Awwwww! :mad:

Theme: makes a new word when you say the word then name its last letter:

  1. D: Lease -> Lease-E -> leasee
  2. B or C: Cat-T -> catty or Bird-D -> birdy
  3. C: Wind-D -> windy
  4. C: Hole-E -> holy.
  5. Goddamnit!!! Not again! :mad:

Theme: pre-pend a body part to make a common word/phrase:

  1. Hair care
  2. Lap dog
  3. Footlight
  4. Asshole
  5. Eye-Q! Yes! I did it! I did it! :cool:
  6. Knee steel
  7. Lung Cancer
  8. Armand (work with me, people!)
  9. Elbow awake
  10. Lego

I admire your effort. Not the right theme, but still impressive.

Only 30% correct answers, however.

+++++

Okay I thought of another one, and it is only semi-obscure:

  1. A villain in 1974โ€™s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre?

A. Mary
B. Kate
C. Ann
D. Shirley

Polls are still open and we have a tie between our two candidates.

How do you determine a winner when there is no set time to end the voting?

  1. d
  2. b
  3. a
  4. b
  5. b
  6. b
  7. a
  8. b
  9. d
  10. a
  1. c
  2. b
  3. b
  4. a ???

Well done Blank Slate!

Of all the candidates you get my vote for test winner in this thread!

Btw, your answer to number 14 is not the right one. I was struggling to think of another theme question when I remembered a TV commercial from the late 1970โ€™s. I checked (of course everything is available now on the internet) and it turned out my memory was accurate. I also discovered the surprising movie connection.

Thanks, Biotop. These are really fun. I did this :smack: and then this :smack: again when I finally caught on.
