If you check the tables, it’s only possible to get over 150 if you’re 55 or over. In my age category (35-54) the highest possible score is 144. For 20-24, it’s 137.

OK, without venturing out on the whole “IQ is bunk” argument, I’m going to start subtracting 10 IQ points off all Dopers in this thread that confuse “English” with “British”.
Sorry Futile Gesture -
123 - got a perfect score in memory. Missed one in logic and got killed in language (as you might guess )

It’s too bad the results page doesn’t report sample size or standard deviation.

I don’t do well under time pressure. Yeah, that’s it.

I usually score higher than that. The last time I took a real (non online) IQ Test I scored in the 160s.

Confirms that I can’t add 2+2 and arrive at 4.
125, and that’s with being dyslexic (reversal of image, and sequence - makes math in the head HORRIBLE)… I guessed 130, estimating on their scale maximum.
Language:10/12 (anagrams are hell for me, or I’d have done better on that one)
Memory: 10/12
Logic: 21/22 (which reflects my 700 analytical GRE score)

Perception: 11/12
Oh, and I also protest the British phone question.
My IQ was formerly tested as 157 (as an adult) (160 as a kid, but standard deviation and all that).
And aren’t we now skewing the British IQ results? What city do YOU live in, in England…
I said I was from (London)Derry in N. Ireland, because I’ve got family there. And whaddayaknow – looks like “we” have got the highest IQs out of the bunch. (Though the small differences in these averages are most likely not statistically significant.)
This is interesting, isn’t it? Normally an IQ thread would be on page 3 in 24 hours. Maybe this one is just a bit more demanding than the Sesame Street type (Which one of these is not like the other…?) usually found on the web.
I see this thread has a reply to view ratio of just under 1:20, while the SAT one below (typical answer - "I only got 1560, but I took 3 hits of acid just before, had a feral cat stuck in my trousers, and forgot my pencil so I had to mark out the answers with my blood…) is a litte greater than 1:10. I tried to find one of the older IQ test threads, but the search tool won’t let me use “IQ”.

- I guessed 120. Those anagrams were difficult for me after they started spelling out actual words.
One other thing - Did you notice the chart matching scores vs. income? A perfect correlation, poorest=smartest to richest=dumbest.
Also, the Lookup Table pegs the highest and lowest scores. For example, if you are age 20-34, you will score between 70 and 137. Even if you are much smarter, you’ll never score over 137.
- If I’d taken the test last week, I would’ve been at 136 or 138, but my 20th birthday was last Saturday, so I now fall into a different age bracket.
This was harder than the other online IQ tests that I’ve taken. Mostly because of all of the visualization in the last part–I REALLY suck at that.

I’ve got a serious headache going right now, but scored a whopping 142. Oddly, I was sure it was the memory section that was going to give me problems.
