-Does this site work or not? It pulls this flash full-screen deal on you, so you can’t see the regular browser indicators… For me, it goes through the intro and then it says “loading” while the music echoes badly, and the “loading” meter never moves.

That is possibly the most irritating and badly designed website I’ve ever seen. Let’s see. I get two or three pop-ups, one of which is a full-screen window with all browser controls removed and a .swf movie that takes forever to load (and no indication to users on howe to close the bastard down). It took a good five minutes before I could get Ctrl-W to work since my wheezy 64Mb PC was near death trying to load that and this site. The other pop-up left is a single image with a single link to buy an album. No real content. Nothing for low-bandwidth users.

I haven’t seen something so infuriating or pig-ignorant of decent usability outside of porn sites.

the first page works okay for me, I don’t have flash & i don’t want it, so I didn’t do anything else there. Why would the site be important?

Worked fine for me, but I have cable modem. I bet it would take forever at 56k

Should I:

  1. Send this to Cafe Society, the end result being my getting hate mail from the other mods?

  2. Lock this puppy off?

  3. Lock this puppy off and revoke MC’s birth certificate?

  4. Leave it alone and take over the world when it drives everyone else to suicide?

OK, it loaded, and there were links at the bottom, none of whick seemed to work, except the exit one. I still have no real idea about who Sara Evans is, aside from the fact that she’s some sort of musician who should have her website designer shot. Anyone manage to find out who designed that crap?

      • Sara Evans is a country singer… The only reason I posted it was because I couldn’t get past the part that says “loading”, and wondered if it was just my computer.
  • I’ve probably never heard any of Sara Evans songs myself; I just saw her picture on an ad for a “Women of Country” compilation CD on a box of Kellogg’s cereal. - MC

Get both IE & Netscape, use one when the other can’t handle a site. Works for me.

That’s the worst website ever! Just seems to try hard to crash everyone’s browsers.
