\pi inline?

That’s currently broken. There is a thread discussing it here:

You can use π inline but you have to use the π character, not the Latex / MathJax version.

Thanks. I’m aware of the thread to which you referred. I’ve been trying to figure a way to get MathJax to display inline code. This: (\pi) is supposed to work, but doesn’t.

ETA - not what I was hoping for

Aha - when the Share box pops up, you have to select “embed a map”

Testing…

Hey @Treppenwitz how did you embed that map?

Yours functions exactly the same as his does for me on my phone.

Hi @Bullitt

Open google maps - I’ve picked Shoreham airport (I’m using a desktop, BTW)

Top left corner of the screen there’s a box that says Search Google Maps - in that box, to the left of the text, there’s a symbol comprising 3 horizontal lines. Click on it to drop a menu down.

About a third of the way down the menu, click on Share or embed map; this opens up - let’s call it the share box. There are two options at the top of the box - Share a link and Embed a map. Underneath we have Link for sharing; under that is the link, and to the right a Copy link button.

If you choose Share a link, copy that link and post it here you get, you get this: Google Maps. Click on the link to open the map.

If you choose Embed a map, copy that link (actually, it says HTML for Embed a map) and post it here you get, you get this:

I did that in satellite view to illustrate something, but you can do it in map view just the same.

Something weird that I have noticed in satellite view - if you Share a link you have a view from directly overhead. If you choose Embed a map, you don’t - as is obvious in the image above. No idea why that is.

I’ve tried it on my iPhone, but no joy. I’ll have to try it on a desktop.

OK I’ll give it a try… Hey cool! Thanks! This is for my upcoming trip to Baltimore, and some places I want to check out.

Happy to help!
