All I can think is Dragonheart or maybe Dreamscape but it’s been a long time since I’ve seen either so I’m unsure.
Correct on HF_18, but wrong on all counts for HF_17 Whack-a-Mole. I don’t remember the movie hitting the theaters but it showed up on cable a lot for a while. Here’s another hint: the movie’s name is a takeoff of an Oliver Stone TV miniseries about media in the near future. It even takes a crack at the main technology the miniseries centers on in a few scenes here and there.
