Just testing. You should see the correct symbols for a definite integral with limits from 0 to infinity = f(x). Yes?

Yes (on IE 5.5).
No on Mozilla. Let me guess. You’re using the Symbol font? Here’s the same thing using Unicode and HTML escape sequences, which works on Mozilla/Netscape. Maybe people can say if they can see this:
∫[sub]0[/sub][sup]∞[/sup] = f(ξ)
Ooops. I assumed that the “x” was also in the Symbol font as well, but you said f(x), not f(xi). :o
I also realize you have an italic f there, not just the oblique we get with the * tag. Here’s my amended depiction:
∫[sub]0[/sub][sup]∞[/sup] = ƒ(x)
Huh. I wonder why Mozilla doesn’t like the Symbol font. Thanks, Achernar.
I’ve gotten used to it. I think you should probably be okay if you write it out as well as putting the symbols, like you did in the OP.
Yes on Opera 7.0.
Opera 7 here too, but I don’t see the right symbols in the OP, but Achenar’s post shows them. In IE 6 I see the correct symbols.
I don’t see the integral sign in Q.E.D.'s OP, but I see it in Achernar’s second post. Safari 1.0 Beta 2 on Mac OSX.
