You may want to look into installing the “Core web fonts” from Microsoft. This forum has the instructions, including a .pet package that may or may not work.
Of course, these are old versions of fonts, and so may not provide you with the glyphs. You may want to try it out in that mode where Puppy doesn’t save the results. Then again, you may think the fonts look better on most webpages, as they were designed to use those fonts.
