The first time I came to the new site, the emojis worked just fine.
I think they will be a nice addition to our experience, I don’t think people have abused them.
Wouldn’t everyone like to be able to drop an emoji once in a while now that we have entered a new era?

I only see emojis in the thread title and quote. For me, there is no emoji in the OP nor your last post.
Phew. It’s not only me. They will believe me.
It might be on your end not for the board itself. Maybe some blocking, either built into your browser or an installed extension, is getting in your way. I have the built in ad blocking under Opera enabled and a javascript blocker. I did need to add a script to my allowed list in the JS blocker to have the page work properly.
Okay, wait. They may have disappeared when I changed the theme. Let me check something.

I also switched to the mobile device format for everything. That could be a difference relevant to the issue as well.
Looks like emojis only work in quoted text.
Copying and pasting some Unicode emojis:
Doesn’t show up either.
For now. It will probably be fixed. But I will still be able to use them by quoting myself.
ETA: Once I added the text, the emoji stopped showing.
Subsequent ETA: By placing the text before the emoji, I can make it show again.
I’m not seeing them in the body of posts, but I can see the one in the thread title.

I’ve tried using various emojis and do not see them in my post, but in notifications about the post they (sometimes) show up.
They show up when quoted.
ETA: damn, they shpwed up in the preview.
The rose, the notes, and the star? I see them. I’m using Chrome as my browser, if that makes a difference.
Maybe they only show up when someone else quotes them.
