Thank you very much for finding my stolen bike.
Statistically, stolen 'cycles don’t have a very good
return rate. I wasn’t expecting to ever see mine again,
but I got a call today despite some misinformation on
the pawn shop’s card, that my bike was found.
Thank you for putting real effort into recovering my property,
for doing a little digging beyond the numbers in the police report
when something looked promising.
Oh, and thank you, stupid thief, for pawning my bike, rack, basket,
AND my helmet as a package. Made it much easier to confirrm that
the bike in question does indeed belong to me. You dummy, I bet we’ll
see you on Fox’s “World’s Stupidest Criminals IVX” someday. 
(Needless to say, the stolen bike referenced in this thread has been recovered. :))
