Theyweren’t soliciting votes for anybody. They were just registering anyone who wanted to register. ACORN is a non-partisan and apolitical organization. If most new voters went for Obama, that’s not ACORN’s doing.

Now who’s being silly. Look, ACORN already did its thing, does it all along, election or no. Their campaigning would be somehow more effective than his, or the unions, or just popular opinion? The people they know, the people they would affect, already on board. ACORN ain’t gonna make the ocean wetter by peeing in it.
Truth be known, if ACORN sent a secret message to the Central Committee, saying “What can we do to help the One?” the answer would most likely have been “Sit down, shut up, and don’t call any attention to yourselves!”
