Unlike so many of my detractors (which seem to be legion these days), evidently you were able to read plain English and extract my meaning. I find it rather conspicuous that so many people are often willing to routinely interpret things in the worst possible light. There has been a pronounced uptick in this sort of behavior lately, not just at these boards, but in society as a whole.
The entire lame rant and pile on that ensued did, at least, manage to bring forth a few gems. Kambuckta’s suggestion that the mods make a special forum sticky for an Anti-Zenster list just about made me split a seam. Unfortunately, that hilarity was balanced by some of the most vile crap I have ever seen posted at these boards. However, I shall save that for a separate Pit thread as this happens to be the “Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy” forum.
In keeping with that notion, I shall repeat my thanks to Super Gnat and express my admiration for his ability to pierce the pervasive veil of pessimism by taking something at face value. I’ll toss in a nod to Creative Munster for making an honorable attempt as well. Just about more than anything, I’d also like to take a moment and thank the fabulous folk from G’Dope. I’m getting to know that crew a little better of late and many of them embody exactly what I originally liked about these boards. I heartily urge those of you who are tired of the constant bickering and backbiting that goes on here to give them a dekko.
