I was just re-reading the original MPSIMS World Trade Center thread. During the panic and chaos of bewildered Dopers, you continually provided updates and links to accessible news sources in Australia. You provided this assistance quietly and with great dignity, never asking for any acknowledgment, and never receiving any.
Looking through the thread again brought back many memories and feelings. Thank you for being there that day. God go with you always.
Libertarian, I’m utterly speechless. Thanks are to you for starting this thread, but I’m really no more deserving of it than any other Doper (American or otherwise) who was there that night.
Man, we were scared as well over here on the other side of the world. I honestly think I was just operating on autopilot. But I can’t possibly have experienced what the American Dopers were feeling just then. We had people posting from NYC while they were breathing the very smoke itself. If I was able to be of any help at all, it was because I was having a slightly easier time of it.
