I’ve been involved in more than one thread here that complains about moderation in Great Debates and Elections, specifically suggesting that moderators moderate too often with their finger inside the trigger guard, handing out warnings when a note would do the trick.
So in fairness I wanted to say that since Bone has come on board, I’ve watched him moderate with a light touch, handing out notes even when he could have defended a warning. And I appreciate it. I think that his moderate-civilly approach improves the tone of the threads he’s in.
He’s a relative infrequent poster prior to being a moderator too. Not a trait you typically associate with Mods.
(Not saying that a good or bad thing. Just an observation)
I was pleasantly surprised, and I had already thought that Bone would be good, since I saw he seemed to think the same way as the mods. Taking a lighter touch is nice.
Sure, I disagreed at least once, but I’d rather disagree with too few Warnings than too many.
