Just got back from my Voter Registrar duties, dropping off a record haul of ballots and stowing all the booths. If the lines were long this time it was due to unexpected interest and involvement by voters in an otherwise low-key contest.
It’s still tied on TV, so I can say without hesitation that you all pulled the “right” lever and punched the “right” punch card hole.
The election process is most rewarding when the turnout is good. It means people do that that their vote counts!
