I wouldn’t count on it though. That whole internet thing might turn out to be just a fad.
We Gather Together. I sang this in my church choir when I was in second grade and cannot help but associate it with Thanksgiving. I agree that the lyrics are outstanding, and the melody is beautiful. The whole song is lyric poetry.
The grandmother’s house of that song is about a quarter-mile from me.
Can you spy her cap? :dubious:
Another vote for We Gather Together. along with Now Thank We All Our God.
I respect grandmother’s privacy too much to even try.
Actually, the original poem was to grandfather’s house, and if you search Wikipedia for “grandfather’s house”, there it is.
Jingle Bells
It’s actually an all-encompassing Holiday Song, the narrative starts with Thanksgiving and it leads all the way up to New Year’s Eve. It’s pretty much your new favorite Thanksgiving song ever.
Today (Thanksgiving) while driving north to Napa to celebrate Thanksgiving we listened to Adam Sandler’s Thanksgiving Song. It was the first time I heard it.
Pretty funny!
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Another childhood delusion swept away! I’ll bet the pudding isn’t done, either.
