Ok, so thanks to Shaolinrabbit’s Friendship thread, I’ve been adding and chatting with fellow Dopers on IMs for a good part of the afternoon while sitting around here at work. So the phone rings and I go to answer it. I notice on the caller ID it’s The Boss. Not my supervisor, not Bruce Springsteen, but the guy in charge of our entire department. I answer the phone and (thanks to chatting away on IMs for the last hour and a half or so) say, “MediaCenter, this is Crunchy Frog.”

I had no way to explain that one, so I pretended it didn’t happen and that he just misunderstood what I said. Maybe he’ll believe that.
I say, that’s what he gets for jacking around at work!
When I got there today to pick him up, I showed up a little early (like always) and he told me immediately what happened with the phone. About 20 minutes later The Boss came thru the media center. The look on Crunchy’s face was too good. When we left the building to go home, he said to me “Man I thought for sure Todd was going to say something to me.”
Hehehe…Like I said, its what he gets for jacking around.
OMG I do this all the time. I have even called a vendor to open a trouble ticket and when they ask for the company name I give them the vendor name instead of the company I work for. :smack:
And too funny Crunchy It will be interesting to see if Todd starts refering to you as “Crunchy Frog” in meetings going forward. :still laughing:
