Why don’t you tell us? Your answer should prove to be amusing, at the very least.
Yeah right. We all know you were on a meth binge.
If he or she’s buying drugs manufactured in this country - such as crystal meth, speed, pot, etc. - PinkMarabou is financially supporting those who are “endangering the lives of those around them to make a quick buck.”
It’s pretty simple, really. I’m surprised you needed an explanation, Miller.
And it ties in nicely with my notion that we can eradicate the supply side by incarcerating the consumers. Again, pretty simple, really. Not the ideal solution by a large margin, but it will suffice until we can come up with something better.
I should add that we really should be discussing this in this thread’s satellite thread.
Hehe, as hijacked, irrelevant, overwrought, and melodramatic as Pit threads have been lately I didn’t even blink twice when I read your post , I just looked for the angle, and sadly found one. :smack:
Growing up the only boy in a house full of vain females, I can attest to the fact that nothing used to tint, frost, streak, lacquer, fully dye, wash, or condition a woman’s hair smells anything like cat pee. As a very young boy, I accompanied Mom to the beautician’s and none of the heavy duty commercial crap used in the good old pre-EPA “Just open a window and your headache will go away” days smelled like any form of pee.
I doubt that any of the newer stuff smells any worse than the old stuff.
In response to your question:
If you started a new thread on that subject with the intent of getting the story as it progressed, I don’t see how we would consider it a joke thread. Now, depending upon the theme, I might move it to MPSIMS as it is less of a flame and more of a personal-saga-kind-of-thing.

New cat piss thread here:
Mystery solved.
I’m afraid I’ll need a bit more than that. Let’s take just one example: how does the “manufacturing” of pot endager the lives of others?
Well, I was thinking more specifically of the dangers of cooking meth in your kitchen, but hey, why don’t I just use this link to demonstrate how innocent people are hurt through illegal drug operations.
Some of the money PinkMarabou may spend on pot is used to finance such operations. That’s how it works. If you’d ever bought or used drugs, you would know something about that.
Ah yes, and just like those oh-so-true-commercials I must support terrorism too!
You do realize that this was an extremly rare occurance don’t you? You do realize that the police and RCMP had known that guy was a whack job for at least 15 years? You do also realize that the killer was closer in spirit to Randy Weaver than to Bob Marley?
I miss the good old days when my drug money was supporting middle eastern terrorists.
There’s actually a really good debate going on over here. I haven’t posted yet, I don’t want anyone accusing me of drug threads being my only interest around here.
Maybe Large Marge should take a looksie over there, but she might be supporting terrorists and murderers if she does!!!
Hmm. Four rookie Mounties get killed when they botch a raid on an auto chop-shop operation run by a man known to be dangerous and violent, who also happens to be growing marijuana, and the whole event is so unprecendented that it makes international headlines.
Yeah, that’s a real compelling cite ya got there. Here’s a guy who ran a sausauge plant who flipped out and killed three health inspectors. By your logic, anyone who eats sausauge is implicit in their deaths. Even if they live in a different company and get all their sausauge needs locally.
The deaths of those four Mounties is lamentable, to be sure, but despite propaganda to the contrary, it has nothing at all to do with marijuana, and everything to do with a paranoid anti-government nutcase with a hard-on for the RCMP. You would know something about that, if you weren’t too busy drinking the government Kool Aid to actually think for yourself for a minute or two.
No, I was not aware of those things, and thanks for pointing it out. I was looking for a quick example I could cite of someone getting hurt because of illegal drugs, and that was the first one I thought of.
That doesn’t change the fact that buying drugs illegally hurts innocent people. What about the small time dealer who sells at the school yard? What about the big time dealer who kills over territory? What about the poor sap who gets addicted, loses her job and goes on welfare? Guess who pays for that? OUR TAX DOLLARS. If you have ever used drugs for any length of time, you know all this to be true.
It might interest all you pro-drug folks to know that I was a drug user, and that I think some drugs should be legalized. But apparently, you’ve already made up your minds about what side of the fence I sit on so discussing it further is pointless, sadly.
Oh, and by the way, your money likely still IS supporting Middle Eastern terrorists. You do read, don’t you?
I don’t buy drugs from that guy.
I don’t buy drugs from that guy, either.
I have a job. I pay my taxes. What the hell does this have to do with illegal drugs, anyway? How many people end up on welfare because they’re alcoholics?
I know nothing of the sort. I do, however, know bullshit when I smell it.
There’s nothing like the zeal of a convert. How about you stop projecting your failures onto the rest of us, okay?
Sure, but what can I do? I gotta get to work somehow, and the public transit around here sucks.
What does this have to do with drugs?
I didn’t realize that all the postings here were supposed to be about you and your experiences and your reality. Because clearly, you think you speak for all people who use drugs.
You really should get out more. Read a newspaper. You know, learn.
Your arrogent, narrow-minded view of the world is scary, Miller. If you can’t see how your actions create a domino effect, I see little point in conversing with you.
There are so many people who can say that this does not affect this or I know a guy. Drugs hurt people. I am a substance abuse therapist for teens. Whether or not the couple of times you used meth hurt you or not, it may have hurt the 11-year-old he sold to as well.
Everyone has a story of I know a guy, well I know a 14-year-old boy who sells cocaine. He also smokes crack. Fortunately tax dollars are paying for him to be in rehab ($242/day). This argument of “you cannot speak for everyone” or “don’t make generalizations about drugs”. I know what they do I see it everyday, and kids are going to buy from the same dealers you are. It may not hurt everyone, but it does hurt these kids. Meth is one of the worst along with crack.
Sorry to sound preachy, but arguments of it is okay for some, or I can use safe, or weekend use is okay. These kids aren’t learning from nowhere what they should be doing.
Fuck, you’re thick, aren’t you?
Yeah, people sell drugs to kids. This is a bad thing. This should be stopped. I do my part to stop this in two ways. 1) I support legalization or decriminalization of most illicit substances. 2) The people I know who deal drugs do not sell to kids. So explain to me, you blithering pinhead, how I’m responsible for kids doing drugs.
And you should stop getting your drug information from fuckin’ DARE, you sheep.
Because they don’t, asshole.
And I look forward to your third pronouncement that you’re done talking to me. The first two were vastly amusing.
