The NFC West division winners, the Arizona Cardinals, are not a below average team.
Whoa! Is that a cardinalis faveoris, better known as the elusive Cardinals Fan? I never thought I’d actually see one in the wild!
So, the Rams are the clear winner, although the Falcons are pretty bad. I’m surprised the OP listed the Texans as one of the competing teams - they aren’t too bad this year, and I’d expect to see them in the 8-8 range.
Dalej42, even as a 49er fan I think the Cardinals will win the NFC West this year, but the 9-7 record they’ll use to get to the playoffs doesn’t make them an above-average team. (They might still get to the second round because the NFC sucks.)
Games this week:
(Team in bold still winless)
Miami Dolphins at Arizona Cardinals
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati Bengals
Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars (game of the week)
Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans
San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos
New Orleans Saints at Washington Redskins
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions
Atlanta Falcons at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
New York Giants at St. Louis Rams
Games this week pitting two winless teams against each other:
San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs
Indianapolis Colts at Minnesota Vikings
My picks for teams eliminated this week from a chance at 0-16:
Chargers, 49ers, Chiefs, Vikings
Another vote for the Rams. I watched the ENTIRE FUCKING GAME. They are bad. It was like watching a terrible accident, I couldn’t pull my eyes away. You would think that with the offensive talent they have they would be better. But you have to actually pass the ball to Holt for him to do anything. Jackson will be useless after the first quarter because the Reams will have to constantly pass to get back in it. When that happens, Bulger will get happy feet and make bad throws or he’ll be sacked.
Oh and our punter? He punted so often last week that his non-kicking knee is sore from coming down on it after his punting motion.
This is a myth that hasn’t been true since 2006.
All of the following have a legitimate possibility of being inept enough to lose every freakin’ game:
Lions
Rams
Chiefs
Raiders
The Rams look the worst overall, ironically with the largest group of ‘name’ players.
My predictions:
Lions @ 2-14
Rams @ 0-16
Chiefs @ 3-13
Raiders @2-14
The NFC West sucks. The Cardinals could win that division with 7 wins.
I agree with half of this statement: none of the, oh, twenty or twenty-two teams that I’d say offhand are equal to or better than the Cardinals play in the NFC West.
I could definitely see them winning that division at 8-8 or maybe even 9-7.
The Lions gave up 320 yds on the ground to the Falcons. If that keeps up we wont see the ball enough. Dead meat.
I’d bet a lot of money the Falcons don’t go 0-16.
Until Houston wins a game, they are a competing team.(though I agree they have a decent team.)
The Bengals have too much talent on offense to go 0-16, despite their poor showing against the Ravens (with a little sideline help from Big Willie Anderson).
Also, please don’t wish them to be winless, as it may mean my untimely demise!
Mark your calendars for November 30. Miami at St. Louis.
An epic in the making.
Damn it must suck to be Justin Fargas…
or a Kansas City Chief.
Wow, the Raiders played REALLY well. I am a happy fan. They were tight and well co-ordinated. They are still young but I don’t have the misgivings about the coach or QB that I had after last week. They did almost snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, but they wouldn’t be the Raiders if they didn’t flirt with giving up a sure win.
Can I change my pick to the chiefs for 0-16?
I saw that game too and I agree with you, the Raiders played much better than I expected.
I also have to vote for the RAMS. These guys really suck. Bulger is done. He is the poster child for deer in the headlights look.
The good news is that we will get the number one draft pick.
Well, it’s true that Kitna throws many touchdown passes, but the ones to the other team don’t count.
I didn’t know you were a Raiders fan. Lucky for you I died last Night in the Mafia game or I would totally be voting for you.
I’m starting to think that the Lions just might be able to pull this off.
SF may be their only shot next week.
