So finally after searching high and low and sideways I found the one item that had eluded me for so long. My package was put together and shipped off this morning, and should arrive at my recipient’s doorstep within a week.
My package, full of (very late) goodness, leaves today.
Going via UPS, so expect it Monday-ish.

Baker I tried to send you two PMs on the status of my shipping, but neither of them are showing in my history now. I really hope you got at least one of them.
My stuff has been gathered, but I was hesitant to drop it in the mail with the Canada Post strike (now a lock out, ugh) looming. So I took the things with me to America last week. I was standing up in a wedding, it was lovely.
The box, complete with a wedding favour, is zooming its way from Denver to its destination.
I am in receipt of my shot glass and a lovely assortment of coffee and barbecue sauce.
It’s a good thing brewing coffee in the morning is my task, else my partner would drink it all up on me. Thank you!
minionkat, your PM’s did arrive. Don’t know why your history doesn’t have them. I’ve been reading about that possible postage strike in the news, so it was a clever idea to bring the package with you to the States.

Came home from a couple of days away and there it was on the front porch! The wife has already claimed the granola. Believe it or not, I actually saw Stormin’ Gorman when he was playing for the Mariners at the end of his career. The bobblehead has taken its place in the collection, right next to Jason Veritek and Justin Turner, staring across the shelf at the Darth Vader bobble on the other side.
You’ve also made me look up Door County on wiki. Cool. I shall drink a shot to them with the shot glass and think fondly of cheese.

I received my package full of Canadian goodness over the weekend.
A lovely Maple-Leaf shot glass, and some other flag emblazoned goodies as well, including Canadian tattoos! I’m half Canuck, too, so this is really cool !
The Red Velvet Wedding Favour “survived” the trip, although it had so spend the night in the fridge to re-solidify.

I just heard a knocking at my door, and the UPS guy had already left when I got there. But it’s a package for me. Goodness, it’s HUGE.
I got all kinds of goodies from South Carolina, Murrell’s Inlet to be specific. Two lovely shotglasses, one with a skull and crossbones and pirate map, and one with little turtles. That one has a blue sheen on the inside, giving it almost a mirrored look, or silver. There’s a postcard of what looks like an old building called the Atalaya. There’s a wooden keychain in the shape of a turtle, and a refrigerator magnet with little turtles. A big bag of white grits, I’m going to have to figure out how to cook them… And there’s a little silver flask with a prescription on the side that says "one gulp every 15 minutes until no pain is felt. That’s a keychain too.
And last but not least, five little bottles of liquor. I know what I’M doing this weekend! I’m not familiar with all the names or flavors, but there’s Tequila Rose Strawberry Cream, Bacardi Tangerine Rum, Ryan’s Irish Style Cream Liquer, Chila Cinnamon Cream Rum, and The Kraken Black Spiced Rum.
Whew! Thank you so much Labtrash, you sure were right it was worth waiting for. I will let you know how the shots go, maybe late Sunday after drinking midday.

Fantastic package received today from Lancia.
Not one, but two glasses from Oregon…a place I loved the only time I had a chance for a brief visit. One glass even has a compass in the base…so I can “Find Myself in Oregon.”
Also a package of “KILTED LADIES FROM HELL” blend coffee, and a coffee mug of very personal importance to the sender. I will keep it in the rotation.
