I got a package today! I assume it’s from Tread, as they seem to be the only one who’s waiting for their sent package to arrive (except for me, but my package was sent Monday, so may take another week or so to cross the pond).
And what a great package it is! As well as a lovely lobster shotglass and some cinnamon whisky to try it with, there’s also a bunch of foreign candy and stuff. The kids love them, although the fireball gobstoppers are a bit much for them, and I haven’t try the hot tamales on them yet.
That’s great! Now only one player is waiting. It will be wonderful when everyone has their stuff.
We need to have a virtual “glass raising” I’m going to be sipping the liquors I got tomorrow afternoon. It’s supposed to be really hot here, a good day to stay inside. Thank God for air conditioning.
Yes, from me, The Hot Tamales aren’t near as hot as the Atomic Fireballs, and a bit chewy, and that’s a crawfish instead of a lobster, very popular among us Louisiana folks,

Whoa! Just wanted Labtrash to know I’ve opened the Kraken Spiced Rum that was sent with the shotglasses. I decided to try it straight over ice. Just a couple of tiny sips so far, and I can feel the warmth all the way down. This stuff if good. I’m sipping out of the silvered blue shotglass.
I’ll also be trying the Irish cream and Tequila Strawberry cream. Found a cocktail recipe that combines them with cream. Sounds good.

I got a package alllll the way from England! It included a shotglass (natch), a London 2012 taxi keychain, a fun “I’m not crabby” rock, and some chocolate!
Little does my sender know that I studied in London for a semester and loved loved loved Dairy Milk and Yorkie bars! Unfortunately, due to the wonder that is the Florida heat…it all melted.
But I threw it all in the freezer and we’ll see what happens! Thanks so much!
ETA: I also forgot to mention that I got another keychain, this of the birth of the new little prince!

I did worry about the chocolate in the heat, but I figured it would probably sort itself out. Hopefully they’ll be good to eat once you freeze them!
When I sent my package I wanted to include chocolates from my favorite shop in town, but decided the heat would be their enemy. Well, there’s always a winter exchange, either for Secret Santa or additional shotglasses.
Now we need a Labor Day coffee mug exchange!

Cool or cold weather anyway, so chocolate won’t melt. I love coffe mugs for their variety, but I don’t know much about selecting quality coffee itself.
I have a big collection of coffee mugs, some from a couple exchanges, but most as gifts or purchases as souvenirs. It’s more fun than keeping a diary. All I have to do is look at the mug and remember the circumstances or occasions that led to me acquiring them.
I need to start looking for a mug with a dachshund on it. I have lots of dachshund paraphenalia, but it just occurs to me no coffee mug.
