I’m at work so I don’t have my notes in front of me, but we’re about done with this thing… just a couple of loose ends.
I got a text yesterday that the shot glass I’ve been wanting for my recipient is finally available, so I’ll go pick it up this evening and mail it out tomorrow. I hope he posts a pic so y’all can see what he wait was all about.

My wife’s car died tonight, and I spent the evening monkeying around with it. So I’m grabbing the shot glass this weekend and will ship it Monday, promise.
Looks like Zoid, Teuton, Czarcasm, and Labdad are the only ones still waiting. Teuton’s package is on its way, Czarcasm’s sender is putting together his package this weekend, Same with Labdad, and we’re waiting on further info from Zoid’s sender.
If anyone else has somehow fallen thorough the cracks please please let me know.
So, the surface mail one has finally arrived from Canada! And it was worth the wait too, with a bunch of goodies - an RCAF shotglass, with no less than 3 miniature bottles of whisky to try it out with! And a bag of sunflower seed “spits”, some Canadian serviettes (with the flag on) and some maple fudge for that extra decadent touch.

It looks like Zoid and Labdad are the only two still waiting. I’m Labdad’s sender, in case it wasn’t obvious. He’s on vacation right now but should have a package waiting for him when he returns. He told me he doesn’t do Imgur and the like, but I took a picture of the shot glass and will post it after I get confirmation that he’s received it.
Zoid, your sender told me via email that he was sending out your package on Aug. 27. Let’s give it another week or so and if nothing comes your way I’ll send you some goodies from Oregon.
All in all, I think this year’s exchange has gone pretty well.
I appreciate it Lancia but seriously don’t put yourself out - I really do sign up for the fun of sending stuff out (but in all honesty I’m not gonna turn down a new glass

First, I’m grateful to you for putting this whole thing together and running it reasonably smoothly. It’s pretty amazing it gets done at all.

This pesky hurricane has crimped my secondary package posting, mainly since the liquor stores in this damn state (SC) close at the Ogforsaken time of 7PM.

After much delay, Labdad’s package is finally — finally!!! — on its way. I offer my sincerest of apologies for the delay and reiterate that I hope the wait will prove to have been worth it. It should arrive in the Volunteer State by the 19th.
It looks like Zoid’s package hit a snafu. Hopefully the kinks will have been worked out by now and goodies are in transit.
We had a good turnout this year and it looks like nobody flaked, although obviously some of us were late. As God is my witness I did not plan the delay to be this long, and you all have no idea how embarrassing it is to be the last person sending a package. There was some interest in a coffee mug exchange earlier in the thread, I’ll try to kick that off around mid-October.

It’s 12:00 noon Saturday the 21st. I just came back from doing errands in the valley (I live on top of a mountain) and the package was waiting at my back door. I opened it literally minutes ago, and my esophagus is still burning a bit from the two ounces of Michter’s rye whiskey I blessed the “Labdad” shot glass with!
Lancia said he has pictures to post, but I’ll go ahead and try to describe it. It’s glazed porcelain, obviously handmade. The glaze varies in color from white, to aquamarine, to dark blue, depicting the ocean quite well. Although irregularly shaped, it holds precisely two ounces. Excellent craftsmanship! There is a silhouette of a seagull on it, and best of all, it says “Labdad” on it in what I assume to be hand lettering that resembles a Times New Roman font!

I must admit to being puzzled about the “one of a kind” characterization you kept posting, but now that I see “one of a kind” meant personalized for me, I’m touched.

I contacted the artist as soon as I put together the sender / sendee list, and I’m a little disappointed it took so long to finish. Apparently she’s in the process of retiring so I had to wait until she had enough orders to fill her kiln. You may be the only person to ever get a customized glass.
